Your physician is supported by a full complement of allied services conveniently grouped in one location at Family Medical Center.

Radiology, mammography, lab, ultrasound, bone density and pulmonary screening are among the allied services available on an out-patient basis at the Clinic’s offices or adjacent facilities in Little Falls, Minnesota.


CT Scan

Computed tomography (CT) uses special X-ray equipment to produce cross-sectional views of structures inside the body. These views, joined together in a computer, are generally capable or more clarity than conventional x-rays.

CT scans are reads these views and can diagnose problems such as cancers, cardiovascular disease, infectioous disease, trauma and musculoskeltal disorders.
Contrast material (iodine dye) is sometimes used to make certain parts of the body easier to see.

Physicians also use CT technology to:

  • plan and properly administer radiation treatments for tumors.
  • guide biopsies and other minimally invasive procedures.
  • plan surgery.
  • measure bone mineral density for the detection of osteoporosis.
  • quickly identify injuries to the liver, spleen, kidneys or other internal organs in cases of trauma.
  • CT scanning is located adjacent to Family Medical Center at St. Gabriel’s Hospital.
