ALLIED SERVICES

Your physician is supported by a full complement of allied services conveniently grouped in one location at Family Medical Center.

Radiology, mammography, lab, ultrasound, bone density and pulmonary screening are among the allied services available on an out-patient basis at the Clinic’s offices or adjacent facilities in Little Falls, Minnesota.

X-ray

X-ray can be used to produce an image of any body part.

Skeletal system: X-ray can detect bone fractures, calcification and soft tissue abnormalities.

Lungs: X-ray is used to identify diseases like pneumonia or lung cancer.

Abdomen: X-ray can detect obstructions of the intestine, fluid collection or stones in the gall bladder and urinary system.

X-rays are less costly when compared to the other imaging modalities like MRI or CT. However, the amount of information obtained is often limited.

X-ray exposes patients to ionizing radiation in very low doses that are generally not considered harmful to humans.
