HELP ME CHANGE
Stop Smoking

If you’ve tried to quit smoking, you know it’s tough. Addiction to nicotine can be as hard to break as addiction to heroin or cocaine. Many people make repeated attempts before quitting successfully. It’s frustrating to try and fail but you’re not alone, and you can stop smoking.

Help is all around you in the form of programs, support groups, family, friends, co-workers and your doctor. Every time you try, you learn more about what works, and does not work, for you.

Full recovery from tobacco addiction is much more than not smoking. It’s a process of learning new, healthy ways to cope with stress and craving for tobacco. When you quit, be prepared, and know what situations or feelings make you want to smoke. Then plan how to cope with them.
